Mama Dip, aka Mildred Council, opened her Kitchen with just $64 on a November 1976 Sunday morning. Since then, vegetables have been served fresh, lemonade sipped slowly, and collard greens have reigned supreme. Today, images of the large brown house on Chapel Hill's Rosemary Street have been spotted on the likes of Oprah and the Food Network, as this Triangle institution has become nationally renowned for its ability to put the "country" into country cooking. Taste the Southern goodness with every chitterling, salmon cake, or bowl of chicken and dumplings. After supper, the pecan pie and banana pudding are "mmm, mmm good." Kids' menu. Beer and wine available. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
